With over 19 years of experience in the finance industry, Brent Thrush is the Director and Senior Mortgage Broker at Get Ahead Finance. He specialises in complex self employed loan applications and development finance, helping clients navigate lending scenarios that require a deeper level of expertise and strategic structuring.
Brent holds a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Banking and Funds Management, and brings both technical knowledge and practical insight to every client interaction. His approach is grounded in fairness, honesty, and transparency—values that have earned him the trust of long-standing clients and industry peers alike.
What drives Brent is seeing clients succeed—whether it’s buying their first home or building a property portfolio. He takes pride in being part of their journey and delivering tailored solutions that make a real difference.
Outside of work, Brent is a proud father of three, an avid mountain biker, and someone who enjoys anything with speed— whether on the trails or the road.

Belinda has been working with Get Ahead Finance since 2015, helping our clients navigate the home loan process and ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. In 2018, she became a qualified mortgage broker, which has given her even more insight into how to support both brokers and customers with care, accuracy, and professionalism.
Belinda is passionate about making the lending experience as simple and stress-free as possible. She genuinely enjoys building relationships and being the go-to person people can rely on.
Outside of work, She is a mum to two amazing teenage girls who keep her grounded, inspired, and always on her toes!

Brent’s career in finance began in 2006 at Raine & Horne Financial Services while he was completing his degree in Banking and Funds Management / Business Management at Griffith University in Brisbane. He has since earned a Diploma in Financial Services (Finance/Mortgage Broking Management) and is a certified MFAA Credit Adviser.
Over the years, Brent has held a variety of roles in the mortgage and lending industry, gaining valuable insights into how to structure even the most complex loan scenarios. His hands-on experience is especially crucial when navigating challenging applications and crafting lending strategies for investor clients and sophisticated borrowers.
Driven by a desire to offer more personalised, independent advice, Brent established Get Ahead Finance with a clear mission: to create long-term relationships built on trust, education, and measurable value. He continues to invest in his own professional development so that clients always benefit from the latest knowledge and highest standards in the industry.
